And the Winner is : Orange County Sheriff's Department
 
The 2009 Battle of the Badges competition proved to be an exciting competition with all three teams neck & neck all the way to the finish line. In the end, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department took home the trophy and the bragging rights by losing 387 pounds and 14.54% of their starting weight.
 
The significant weight loss results and overall improved health accomplishments reflect how each participant is a winner! Overall, the combined weight loss with all three law enforcement teams and the youth team was 1, 345 pounds in just 10 weeks. The healthy accomplishments included significant decreases in waist circumference, triglyceride levels, LDL and total cholesterol levels.

Last year, 20 law enforcement officers competed in the first-ever Battle of the Badges—and together lost an incredible 724 pounds in ten weeks!
 
The Santa Ana Police Department won the trophy—and bragging rights—by losing 410.84 pounds and 15.84% of their starting weight!
